Restart the computer and press "F8" to boot in safe mode. Click the "Start" menu, then click "Run." Type "regedit" and press "Enter."

Go to the registry entry named "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionWinlogonNotify" and right-click on the "WGALogon" folder. Click "Delete." Exit the registry editor and save the changes.

Press "CTRL+ALT+DEL" to open the Task Manager. Click ""wgatray.exe" and click "End Process." Close the Task Manager.

Click the "Start" menu, then click "My Computer." Click the "C" drive and open the Windows" folder. Right-click on "wgatray.exe" found in both the "C:WindowsSystem32" and "C:WindowsSystem32dllcache" folders and click "Delete."

Restart the computer and write down the files that Windows informs you are missing.

Click the "Start" menu, then click "Run." Type "msconfig" and press "Enter."

Click the "Services" tab and uncheck the files that you wrote down. Click "Save" and exit.
