How to Recover Formatted Smart Media Card Data

When you delete images or data on a SmartMedia card or any other type of similar storage card the data becomes inaccessible, but it is not completely lost. Until the data is rewritten you may still be able to access the files again. To recover formatted SmartMedia card data you will need some file recovery software. There are a variety of programs available online, each performing very similar tasks. If you are unsuccessful with one you may find better luck with another. Recovery can be a very lengthy process so allow a number of hours for a card that contains multiple gigabytes of data.
